Characteristics of Mineral Water 2

Classification of the bottled water

Natural minerals:
They are those originating in an underground site bacteriologically healthy waters and that sprout from a spring. They differ from the remaining water by its nature, rich in some minerals, trace elements and other components.
It is also characterized by certain healthy effects (shown). Its purity is original.

Characteristics of Mineral Water 2

Spring:
They are drinking water from underground origin that emerge spontaneously or are obtained through work done to this end, with the natural characteristics of purity, but to apply the minimum physical treatments to separate unstable material elements.
Unlike natural mineral waters, they have failed to take specific action in our body.

Prepared:
These waters have been subjected to physico-chemical treatments to be drinking, in order to comply with health requirements.
They are divided into: prepared drinking waters in both underground and surface origin and public supply water prepared, whose origin is the public network. It is intended to cover any failure of the drinking water distributed by the general network, and they can be packed for door to door distribution.

Mineral:
It is water of underground origin, with therapeutic properties and are used as treatment, either by the concentration of dissolved salts or its higher temperature.
These waters can be used in spas, or may also packaged and distributed as a drug. Some of its effects in the body can be: promote diuresis, prevent and eliminate kidney stones, etc.

With gas:
Industrially processed, these waters have some amount of dissolved carbon dioxide (CO2), forming bubbles, giving some beneficial properties, such as: facilitate the secretion of gastric juices, thus helping to improve the digestion.

Bicarbonate:
Defined as waters whose main component is the bicarbonate, being recommended when there are problems of the digestive system and in people with diabetes since it improves the response to insulin.

Tips for evaluating the quality of the water and choose the best

When it comes time to choose the type of water you want for our family, we must repair in significant details.

Level of dry residue containing each water: This determines the lightness of the water and the diuretic action that posse. To the extent that the waters have more under the dry residue, the greater its diuretic effect. For daily consumption, the best type of water that can consume, is the one with a standard low sales, because a balanced diet ensures the body one contribution sufficient mineral substances. However, in very hot countries, or in those who are not so, but with very hot summers, you should opt for water of medium mineralization. This is because the greater removal of salts with the sweat.

Check the labels of the products and check that they do not exceed the recommended maximum levels:

Sodium (Na) 20 mg. per litre

Potassium (K) 10 mg per litre.

Sulphates (SO4) 25 mg. per litre

Nitrates (NO3) 10 mg. per litre

Fluorine (F) 1.5 mg. per litre

Check the expiration date of the bottled waters: these dates tend to be one to two years from the date of packaging, but it should be clearly indicated on the containers.

See the place where the waters are stored: must not be exposed to the Sun for long periods, or subjected to high temperatures. The heat causes toxins present in containers (plastic bottles – identified with the number 1 in a triangle at the base of the container) to pass water. These toxins, such as DEHA and BPA (Bisphenol A), are possible carcinogens and alter hormone metabolism.
Appropriate containers safe to store mineral water are the high density polyethylene (HDPE/PE-HD-triangle 2), the low density polyethylene (LDPE or PE-LD-triangle 4) and polypropylene (Pp-triangulo 5)

Packaging: waters that provide greater security are those that have some device to ensure that the content of these is that shown, as tops threaded with a finite pod attached to the neck of the bottle and that, once it opens, it is impossible to reseal without perceiving that it has already been opened. Another device is attached to the top hole of the bottle and that once opened cannot again be sealed.

We recommend the waters of strong mineralization for certain cases, depending on the State of health of the people. We recommend that you consult with your doctor or health care professional so he recommends the type of water that must be ingested.

Cases in which you must control water consumption

There are some situations to take account, where we need:

Drink more:

in the case of young children: because they have more losses.

After doing some physical effort: since sweat is a loss of liquids

in hot climates: due to high temperatures

If vomiting or diarrhea is suffering: to prevent possible dehydration

When you follow a hypocaloric diet

If you have kidney stones: since thus stimulates kidney function and the departure of the calculations

Drink less:

If you have small appetites: instead of space with water, should be done with food

If you have any heart failure: how much less better liquid

If you develop edema or fluid retention: you must also control sodium intake
In summary we can name some reasons of because drinking mineral water:

Drinking mineral water, drink water that is pure since its inception and has a very advantageous healthy characteristics for our organism.

They make a contribution even and constant of minerals.

Natural mineral water, packaged such which is obtained from nature, without chemical treatments.

It does not add calories to our diet.

Handy is thanks to its format and allows us to be hydrated anywhere and at all times.
